This is a leisure evening jacket that looks more like a shirt. It was worn over a dress or small blouse. This yard-dyed open check pattern is typical of a 1950’s piece. The original is over-sized with a Peter Pan collar and exaggerated cuffed sleeves and a tapered hemline.
