Granny Greens’ housecoat was typical of something you would always find her in. When I was a younger child, she was already nearing 90 years old ans even around the house she rarely wore anything other than gowns and housecoats. This piece has 3/4 sleeves with only one closure at the top and would have been worn over a slightly shorter gown. The original 100% cotton housecoat was worn in the mid 1960’s.
