miniature clothing project

This evening beaded sweater belonged to my grandmother, Catherine Lloyd Wright (maiden name) daughter of Frank Lloyd Wright. Grammy, as I knew her, was a wonderfully creative woman who left a unique collection of hand crafted holiday balls she created, each one with a diorama of miniature figures, animals, and settings. Her only daughter was my mother, Anne Baxter, best known as the Oscar winning actress in All About Eve. Catherine was married to Kenneth S. Baxter. Grammy passed around 1981, mother passed her sweater to me. I wore it once or twice when I was growing up, I am too tall for the diminutive proportions. This is a great way to commemorate her memory. The beading on this cashmere handmade sweater are real pearls.
